In the tale “Baba Yaga” by Aleksandr Afanasyev describes about a young girl who used to be beaten up by her stepmother. The stepmother sends her to her aunt’s house for a needle and a thread to make her a dress. Without knowing that she will seal her, the young girl tries to escape with the advices that the cat gave her. And when the dad is back he asks for his daughter and he realizes that the stepmother kicked the young girl out from home and he kills his wife.
ReplyDeleteI like the story because when I first read it, it remind me to one of those soap operas that I used to watch when I was a kid, and its like if I’m watching a new version but with high definition. The only thing that I dislike form this tale is the way of how the stepmother kicked her stepdaughter and how much the stepdaughter suffered. When I heard from this story I thought it was going to be similar as “Cinderella,” but it wasn’t.
The story “conkiajgharuca, the little rag girl” form Georgia , describes a poor girl who fought for what she wanted against her stepmother and stepsister. In the beginning of the story the little rag girl’s mom died then her dad got married with some old dame. In the middle of the story the king makes a party at the church and invited everyone but the stepmother didn’t let the little rag girl go. Next, she went to the party with the cow’s help. Later, the little rag girl left the party but also she left her slipper then the king found it and went to look for her. At the end of the story the king went to the little rag girl’s house but the stepmother putted her in a basket then the little rag girl came out from the basket and tries the slipper and she became the king’s wife leaving the stepmother with a dry throat.
ReplyDeleteI like the story because its way different in stead of a fairy godmother it’s a cow. Even though its different it still shows the same meaning that no matter who you are or what you do you still have the chance to earn whatever you want obviously if you fight and work hard for it.
The story, “The Little Rag Girl”, from Georgia describes a little rag girl. It all started with her family they were living peace fully until one day her mother died. Later his dad grieved and grieved and said to himself that he needed another wife. In the middle she got her step mother and she was mean she did not like the little rag girl ass son as she saw her. Also her step mother had a daughter who she treated her good and like her a lot. In the end the king was going to do a party in the church so every one was invited but the cruel step mother did not let go the little rag girl. So later she reminded her self that the cow told her to go to the tomb were she was bury and give her the magic words so she did and became a princess. Later she went to the party at the church her step mom saw her and told her something mean and she left running she drops the golden slipper and then the king finds it. The last thing that happen was that he went around all the houses to find the owner until he did then they live happily ever after.
ReplyDeleteI like the story because it’s not boring and it’s different from others. This story is trying to tell you that no matter what keep working hard to become the best or become what you want. Also I like this story because at the end her step mother was left with her mouth open and with a lot of anger but she can’t take.
The “The Baba Yaga” by Aleksandr Afanasyev from Russia, Explores the life of a girl that is kicked out of his home by his stepmother, this story is about the life of Baba Yaga. In the beginning Baba Yaga’s father left Baba with his stepmother. In the middle Baba Yaga was planning how to get out from there. Then her aunt instructed her to do. Next she escapes with the advices that the cat gave her. Finally when the father comes back, he realizes that the stepmother kicked the young girl out from home, he kills her wife.
ReplyDeleteI like this story because it reminds me that if you’re a hardworking person great things can come up. Also the story makes me think in things that are real, for example this world has a lot of kids like Baba Yaga without parents that can protect them.
“conkiajgahruna” William Hoffman.
ReplyDeleteThe story “conkiajgahruna, the little rag girl” from Georgia describes the life of a rag girl who had a poor life but then she become the king’s wife. In the beginning she had a poor family and she used to wear rag close, that’s why the people used to call her “the little rag girl”. Right after her mom died, her father went to get a new wife, his new wife was evil and she had a daughter. In the middle of the story the cow told her to go where a gold spring was and then touch it. She did this and her hair turned blond. When she come back to home her stepsister wont to do the same, but instead of touch the gold spring, she touch the black one, her skin turned black and a horn started growing on her forehead. At the end, when the king was doing a party where she was dancing with hem, she loses her shoe and left the party. Couple months latter, the king come to the little rag girl’s house and asked for her. The stepmother told hem she wasn’t there. At the end, he found her, he get married with her and they left the stepmother with nothing.
I like the story because is a story I would like to tell the little kids. It made me think about how some parents can be evil with their children and how lucky are some girls.

At the end of the narrative, when the prince knew everything from the widow woman, he saved his wife and returned her into a human. Finally, the witch with her daughter ran far and far away and the prince and his wife and the baby lived happy ever afterwards.
I like this story because it tells us a moral character. It doesn’t matter you are poor or unlucky, if you always keep the sincerity, kind-hearted and diligence in your soul, you will have the good life.

ReplyDeleteI like this story because in the beginning it made me laugh. It made me laugh because Marra’s mother turned into a cow and his dad married a window. The part I liked is when the prince looked for her and they got married. And the part I don’t like is when stepmother and stepsister put Marra to clean that’s not fair.

ReplyDeleteI like this story because it talked about the family connection and how people can love their sibling and their spouses. No matter if you lose your love one, they can be in your heart forever.

They changed her into a human again, the witch and her daughter run away and the prince and his family live together with their baby forever.
ReplyDeleteI don’t like this story because it is kind of a boring story. One reason for this is this story is repeating the same thing again and again, so I think for a story needs to have a high point to let the story feels more interests. Second reason for this is although it has the protagonist and the antagonist; however, the author didn’t use the protagonist a lot so that will let the reader confused who is the main character in the story. Final reason for this is this story is too hard to believe it because how the animals can talk like a human, the magic thing, a dead person can rebirth again, and put the skin into the fire and become a human. So I don’t real like this story a lot.

I don't like the story, first of all I don't like went Pepelyoua's mother turned into a cow because it sounds weird a woman turned into a cow. Second I felt sorry for her because her stepmother was really cruel with her.

At last the prince went from house to house into he found his love and they were happily married.
ReplyDeleteI like this story because it’s similar to “Cinderella story” and have funny parts in the story like when her mom turned into a cow and help her all the times, but the sad thing of this story is that her stepmother found out and killed. I like this story to because I think that the message it’s really good it tells you that if you work hard you can get more then what you think what you can get.

Because always ends with a happy ending, by the way how can her mom was turned into a cow AHAHHA that sounds fun, and then they kill her and at the end they eat her. D =
